"Aquaman" spin-off "The Trench" starts filming with James Wan as producer

"Aquaman" spin-off "The Trench" starts filming with James Wan as producer

After "Aquaman" grossed $1.1 billion worldwide, Warner Bros. is interested in filming more DC works. Although there has not been any formal and in-depth discussion about "Aquaman 2" yet, its spin-off film "Trench Tribe" has already started filming.

"Aquaman" director James Wan and producer Peter Safran will serve as producers of this spin-off. Warner hired two newcomers, Noah Gardner and Aidan Fitzgerald, to write the script. The budget will be lower than that of ordinary DC superhero movies, and main actors including Jason Momoa and Amber Heard will not be required to return.

The spin-off will revolve around the Trench Tribe, a relatively new creature in DC Comics. In Aquaman, the action scenes between the Trench Tribe and Arthur and Mera are impressive. These deep-sea creatures are ferocious, bloody, and numerous, and the main tone of the spin-off will also be thriller and horror.
