The new theatrical version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash", adapted from the spin-off novel written by Gundam's father Yoshiyuki Tomino in 1989, has been scheduled for release in early 2020. "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash" is Sunrise's major drama this year. The production team is still luxurious, with the original work being Tomino Yoshiyuki; the director is Murase Shuko, the art director is Mikimoto Haruhiko, and the mechanical design is Moriki Yasuyasu.
