30 years of Gundam sentiment never goes out of style! The father of Gundam comments on the new theatrical version of "Hathavi's Flash"

The new theatrical version of "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash", adapted from the spin-off novel written by Gundam's father Yoshiyuki Tomino in 1989, has been scheduled for release in early 2020. Today, the message from Yoshiyuki Tomino was made public. Even after 30 years, the Gundam sentiment will never go out of date!

"Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash" is Sunrise's major drama this year. The production team is still luxurious, with the original work being Tomino Yoshiyuki; the director is Murase Shuko, the art director is Mikimoto Haruhiko, and the mechanical design is Moriki Yasuyasu. It is now in hot production and will take the form of a three-part series to fully restore the story that Tomino Yoshiyuki told 30 years ago. Stay tuned!

The creator of Gundam, Yoshiyuki Tomino, recently expressed his gratitude: "As the original author, I am very happy that my work written 30 years ago has been adapted for the big screen! What is even more surprising is that it is a trilogy. I heard that you decided to make a movie based on the fact that the subject matter of this work is still relevant today. I couldn't help but look through my work again and was deeply confused. As expected, the real world has not made any progress at all, and it can even be said that it is regressing. The theme of this book will never be outdated even in today's world. The spirit of Gundam seems to always be able to be applied to different eras and influence our pace of progress."

"Although the production team is still young, and the audience who appreciates Gundam movies is also young, I believe that there will be a pioneer among you who will open up the road to human innovation - New Type."
