Jin Yong's novels have been remade into films and TV series. Recently, the launch conference of "New Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils" was held in Dali, and the main actors made their debut. Tony Yang plays Qiao Feng, Bai Shu plays Duan Yu, Janice Man plays Wang Yuyan, Su Qing plays Azhu, He Hongshan plays A Zi, and Zhang Tianyang plays Xu Zhu.

After watching the start-up photos of "The New Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils", many netizens said that the leading actors' looks were simply hard to describe, and seemed like a low-quality COSPLAY scene.

The New Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils has a total of 60 episodes and the production cycle is as long as 24 months. This is the sixth remake of Jin Yong's novel Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils. In addition to this film, the most recent remake was in 2013, with Wallace Chung as Qiao Feng and Korean actor Kim Ki-Bum as Duan Yu, which caused many netizens to complain at the time. The two most well-received versions are the 1997 version starring Felix Wong and the 2003 version starring Hu Jun.
