According to foreign media reports, the story of Audrey Hepburn, a generation of Hollywood screen goddess, is about to be made into a TV series, which will be produced by Wildside, the Italian production company that produced "The Young Pope" and "My Brilliant Friend". The series will focus primarily on Hepburn's formative and youthful years and is based on the best-selling book "Audrey At Home, Memories of My Mother's Kitchen," co-authored by Hepburn's son Luca Dotti and Italian journalist Luigi Spinola. The book covers the full range of Hepburn's life, from her childhood in Holland through World War II, to her time in Hollywood and her work as a wife and mother, to her final years, traveling the world as a philanthropist on behalf of UNICEF. The producer said the series will focus on Hepburn's growth period, and Luca Dotti will be deeply involved in the production. This is an English drama, which has not yet been named and is expected to start shooting in 2020. The search is currently underway for a female lead to play Hepburn, who was previously played by Jennifer Love Hewitt in the 2000 biopic "The Audrey Hepburn Story". |
