Director says DC has no interest in making new Wonder Woman movie

The film "Star Wars: Rogue Squadron" was considered to be frustrated after being deleted from Disney's September 2022 schedule, but it was recently confirmed that it will be released in December this year. Director Patty Jenkins also confirmed that she has begun to participate in the script development of the film.

Jenkins, who previously directed the Wonder Woman films, explained in a recent interview with Variety that Rogue Squadron came about after Warner Bros. and DC Studios canceled plans for Wonder Woman 3. “When Wonder Woman 3 was a kid, Lucasfilm and I were like, ‘We have to do this deal,’” she said.

Talking about her decision to no longer film Wonder Woman, Jenkins said: "They (DC) are not interested in making any Wonder Woman movies for the time being... Considering the current situation of DC, it is really not easy."

After the Wonder Woman 3 project was canceled in December 2022, Jenkins said on social media: “I never (chose) to leave… I’m willing to consider anything that’s asked of me. As far as I know, I don’t have any ability to push anything forward right now. DC is obviously immersed in the changes they have to make, so I know these decisions are difficult right now.”
