Digging deeper! The classic sci-fi movie "Blade Runner 2049" will be made into an animated version

The classic science fiction film "Blade Runner", which is hailed as a milestone, and its sequel "Blade Runner 2049" have received good reviews since their release, but the box office was disappointing. The audience generally had the impression that the film was difficult and unpredictable. Recently, the official suddenly announced that it would produce an animated version, tentatively named "Blade Runner — Black Lotus".

"Blade Runner 2049" is the sequel to the classic sci-fi film "Blade Runner" released in 1982. It is adapted from Philip K. Dick's novel "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?". The story is set 30 years after "Blade Runner". It tells the story of the year 2049 when humans and replicants coexist. The conflict between the two races escalates. The new generation of Blade Runner K finds the former Blade Runner who has disappeared for many years, and joins hands to stop the fateful battle between humans and replicants again!

Want to explore the depth of Blade Runner again? Check out the animated version. The new animated version is tentatively titled "Blade Runner — Black Lotus". According to the little information released by the official, the background of this version is set in 2032, between "Blade Runner" and "Blade Runner 2049". Although familiar characters will appear, information about the storyline has not been disclosed.

The animated version of "Blade Runner — Black Lotus" has been confirmed to be produced by Japan's Sola Digital Studio. The directing team will include Kenji Kamiyama of "Ghost in the Shell SAC". The official broadcast date has not been determined, and the production quality is worth looking forward to.
