Batman 2 delayed to October 2, 2026

The sci-fi crime film "The Batman" directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson was released in March 2022. With its unique and strong stylized visual effects and its ambition to redefine the screen image of "Batman", the film has gained good reputation and box office (exceeding 100 million US dollars in the first week in North America).

The sequel to the film, "Batman 2," was announced in April 2022, and in January 2023, the film was scheduled to be officially released on October 3, 2025, and the casting of the film was revealed in June.

However, Warner Bros. recently announced that the release date of "Batman 2" will be postponed by one year and will be officially released on October 2, 2026.

Although the reason for the postponement of the film is still unclear, according to foreign media "escapist", the postponement may be related to the schedule of starring Robert Pattinson and director Matt Reeves, as well as the screening schedule of DC movies.
