Although "uncut", the Chinese version of Venom has one less Easter egg than the North American version

According to domestic media reports, the superhero blockbuster "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" jointly produced by Sony and Marvel will be released in mainland China on November 9. However, according to reports, although the main part of the mainland version has not been cut, compared with the North American release version, a post-credits easter egg will be deleted. The content is related to Sony's Spider-Man animation "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" which will be released on December 14.

According to netizens who have watched the North American version, the Chinese mainland version only has one Easter egg, one less than the North American theatrical version. The deleted Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Easter egg has no direct relationship with the Venom feature film, and the film is also expected to be introduced.

"Venom: Let There Be Carnage" tells the story of reporter Eddie Brock (played by Tom Hardy) who was invaded and controlled by an unknown alien symbiote while investigating the latest scientific experiments of the Life Foundation. After struggling, he became the good and evil superhero Venom to save the world.

The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer and co-starred by Tom Hardy (The Dark Knight Rises, Dunkirk), Michelle Williams (The Greatest Showman), Riz Ahmed (Rogue One: A Star Wars Story), Scott Haze and Reid Scott.

The mainland theatrical version of the movie "Venom: Let There Be Carnage" has not been cut compared to the North American version. It will be released in Chinese theaters on November 9 in 3D, IMAX3D, China Giant Screen 3D, Dolby Atmos and other formats.
