Capcom announced today that the "Mega Man" IP will enter Hollywood for the first time to shoot a live-action movie. The film is still tentatively titled "Mega Man", written and directed by Henry Jost and Ariel Schulerman, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. Chernin Entertainment, the producer of the "Planet of the Apes" series, and Masu Oka, who played a major role in "Heroes", jointly produced it. Capcom hopes that the audience positioning of this film will be wider, so that gamers and action movie fans can see "the world view of the "Mega Man" game, and also present the world-famous big production and entertainment value of Hollywood movies." A release date for the Mega Man live-action movie has yet to be announced. The latest game in the "Mega Man" series is "Mega Man 11", which was released on October 2 and is now available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch platforms.
