According to foreign media reports, "X-Men" series director Bryan Singer was recently revealed to be in talks with Millennium Pictures to produce a new version of "Queen's Sword" movie. At the same time, he has invited "X-Men: First Class" screenwriter Ashley Miller to write the script for the film. "Queen's Blade" is adapted from the comic of the same name, co-authored by Roy Thomas (text) and Barry Windsor-Smith (drawing), and published by Marvel Comics in 1973. The comic tells the story of a woman named Sonya in ancient times who gained divine power from a legendary female warrior in order to avenge her family, but Sonya cannot fall in love with a man, otherwise she will lose her divine power, unless the man's power is stronger than hers. A movie version of "Queen's Sword" was made in 1985, also starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Brigitte Nielsen as the heroine. The stylist highlighted the muscular bodies of the male and female protagonists, making the film a sensation. |
