The Witcher show producer quits Twitter after being criticized for casting non-white people in the show

Lauren S. Hissrich, producer of The Witcher, recently tweeted that she would temporarily quit Twitter. She said the love here was amazing and the hatred was enlightening. She had to read less Twitter and write more scripts, otherwise there would be no finale.

As for why this happened, it was because after the news that Ciri's actor in the live-action version of "The Witcher" was not white was exposed, many dissatisfied players came to her Twitter to criticize her. Even under this tweet about quitting the circle, there were still players "criticizing" her, calling on her to be faithful to the novel and the original work, and not the so-called American political correctness.

The Witcher live-action series producer tweeted:

Translation: "It's time to quit Twitter. The love here is amazing, the hate is inspiring, like a real-life Trial of Grass, and I need to read less Twitter and write more scripts - otherwise we won't have a good ending. I'll be back soon with more observations and Roach (Geralt's mount). Let's get along, okay?"

However, the players are still not giving up. This tweet has received more than 500 comments. Hejeldrummer said that the characters in the novel and the game have accurate descriptions of their appearance. Why change? Netflix is only for the investors' money, not because they really care.

Hejeldrummer: Please respect the original, ok? This is based on a Slavic/European folktale, not an American 21st century issue (black political correctness). For the love of cute little Jesus, "don't wake and break" this one.

We have also reported on the casting of Ciri in The Witcher live-action series before. Ciri's actor was revealed to be BAME, which means black, Asian, and ethnic minority.
