Even if he turns to ashes, he can be resurrected: Director of SHIELD officially joins the Spider-Man sequel "Far From Home"

According to foreign media reports, the sequel to the Marvel blockbuster "Spider-Man: Homecoming", "Spider-Man: Far From Home", has recently attracted more stars. Samuel Jackson and Cobie Smulders, who played Commissioner Fury and Maria Hill, will play the same role again.

Fans have been speculating about Jackson's possible joining the Spider-Man sequel after he showed up on the set, and now things have finally come to fruition.

The Director and Maria appeared in the post-credits scene of Avengers: Infinity War this spring, and their appearance in Spider-Man: Far From Home will make people speculate what kind of plot will be derived from it.

In the comics, Spider-Man and SHIELD are connected. In fact, Director Fury appeared in almost every episode of the 2012 animated series Ultimate Spider-Man. Perhaps the story of the Spider-Man sequel will be similar to this, with Spider-Man no longer considering Tony Stark as his mentor in life, but turning to SHIELD for help?

Jackson will appear in another MCU blockbuster next year, Captain Marvel, and his role is very important. However, Fury was not yet the director at that time, and he was not the same as we are familiar with him. The film takes place in the 1990s and shows what Fury was like before he became "One-eyed".

In addition to Jackson, Cobie and Tom Holland, Spider-Man: Far From Home will also feature returning cast members, including Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Zendaya as Michelle, and Jacob Batalon as Ned. Without Nini, it is rumored that Jake Gyllenhaal may join the cast to play the villain Mysterio.

Although we don't know how important the two directors will be in the film, it's good to see that these agents are still appearing in the MCU's fourth phase. After all, Nick Fury has been there since the first "Iron Man" in 2008.

Spider-Man: Far From Home will be released nationwide on July 5, 2019.
