According to The Hollywood Reporter, director Justin Lin will direct "Fast & Furious 10" and "Fast & Furious 11", which will end the main storyline of the "Fast & Furious" series. Justin Lin has previously directed "Fast & Furious: Tokyo Drift", "Fast & Furious", "Fast & Furious 5" and "Fast & Furious 6". He recently returned to the Fast & Furious universe to direct "Fast & Furious 9". The film was originally scheduled to be released this year, but was later postponed to May 28, 2021. In 2018, series star Vin Diesel confirmed that Justin Lin would direct "Fast and Furious 9" and "Fast and Furious 10". He mentioned that "Fast and Furious 10" would be split into two movies, the first and the second. Series creators Neal Moritz and Vin Diesel have both said that these films will form the final chapter of the main Fast & Furious story, and Vin Diesel has also said that he supports any future spin-offs. Dwayne Johnson confirmed in April this year that a sequel to "Fast & Furious Hobbs & Shaw", which was released in 2019, was under active development. |
