Media ratings for the sci-fi blockbuster "Dune" have been lifted, and IGN gave it a 7-point score

Media ratings for the upcoming sci-fi blockbuster "Dune" were released today. IGN gave it a good score of 7 points. Scoring editor Scott Collura concluded: "...The movie "Dune" (the picture) is very beautiful and a faithful restoration of the original. But only in the first half of the story. This is the problem faced by this movie. There is too much foreshadowing in the first part and the end of the movie is not able to conclude... This is a technically superb and visually stunning movie with a first-class cast and a profound sci-fi concept. Unfortunately, its second half feels like it is dragged down."

The rating website Rotten Tomatoes gave it an 83% freshness rating.

Metacritic currently has a score of 76 out of 100.

Dune is scheduled to be released simultaneously in North American theaters and online on October 22. It has passed the review in China, but the release date has not yet been determined.
