The film is co-directed by Ryuichi Yagi and Takashi Yamazaki, and the story is adapted from the manga "Doraemon" by Fujiko F. Fujio. This film is a tribute to the 50th anniversary of Doraemon's birth. It is adapted from the original story "Memories of Grandma" and adds new original content. The previous film was released in 2014 and tells the story of several protagonists' longing and confusion for their future lives. The two new characters revealed this time are the future salesman who comes to sell the mysterious future item to the blue fat man, played by BAKARIZUMU; and the secret item "replacement rope" delivered, played by Shinichi Hatori.
