Scary clowns will scare you! IT develops 8-bit pixel game

The latest Stephen King horror film adaptation, IT, is getting a small 8-bit pixel game. Titled IT: Enter the Sewer, it takes place in the sewers of Derry, Maine, where the killer clown Pennywise resides. You control Georgie's paper hat boat, avoid obstacles in the sewers, such as "missing children" posters, Betty Ripsom's shoes, and Pennywise himself, and collect balloons to get high scores.

The movie is released on September 8. Bill Skarsgard plays Pennywise, while Finn Wolfhard, a young actor from "Stranger Things," is one of the main characters.

Plans for a sequel to the film are already underway. Director Andres Muschietti confirmed that he will soon begin filming the second part. He may start writing the script in January and start preparation in March. The first part is just about the children, and the second part is about these characters returning to the town 30 years later, just like the original.

In addition to the game, Warner Bros. has also released a VR experience called IT, which takes you into the sewers of a fictional Derry, with the voice of Pennywise the Clown as your guide.
