Geralt has more lines and less swearing in The Witcher Season 2

The first season of The Witcher was released on Netflix in 2019 and achieved good results. Henry Cavill once said that in the second season of The Witcher, Geralt will be more talkative and swear less than in the first season. Recently, Henry Cavill explained in an interview with foreign media GamesRadar why Geralt will have such a change in the second season and how his language behavior will be different.

Henry Cavill said he wanted to make Geralt more vocal in season 2, which he put down to less profanity and swearing. He wanted his character to be more alert in order to be more accurate to the Geralt of the original novels.

"In the new season, I've been trying to give Geralt more voice. If a character always remains the same, it will seem old-fashioned and boring. Just using humming and swearing to bring comedy effect will lower the level of The Witcher and waste the talent of The Witcher author Andrzej Sapkowski. Of course, I really tried to make Geralt seem more intelligent and have more vocabulary."

The Witcher Season 2, which premieres December 17, tells the story of Geralt of Rivia, convinced that Yennefer was killed in the Battle of Sodden, taking Princess Ciri to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. As the kings, elves, humans, and demons of the land vie for dominance outside the city walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power within her.
