According to Marvel regular actor Josh Brolin, who played Thanos in "Avengers" and Cable in "Deadpool 2", the Thanos he plays is likely to appear again in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with ComicBook, he hinted at Thanos' return, saying: "You know, I heard through the grapevine that they're going to bring him back. And there's a different Thanos in the What If animated series and so on. But I can't confirm 100% that he's coming back, and I didn't know that he was the most killed Marvel villain before... You learn something new every day." Thanos was first played by Damion Poitier in the original Avengers film, but after Guardians of the Galaxy, Josh Brolin took over the mantle in Age of Ultron, Infinity War, and Endgame. In the end, Thanos was completely defeated in Endgame and turned to dust. But Marvel is currently in the middle of a big chapter on the "multiverse", and during the animated series "What If...", Thanos also appeared and was killed many times (seemingly becoming a unit of measurement for combat power). It would not be surprising to see other versions of Thanos appear in new Marvel movies after this. |
