"Oppenheimer" will be re-screened in mainland China on March 1 to celebrate the Oscar nomination

Today (January 25), Universal Pictures announced that the biographical film "Oppenheimer" will be re-screened in mainland China starting March 1, and celebrated the 13th Oscar nomination this year. The film was first released in mainland China theaters on August 30 last year and won a box office of 450 million yuan.

"Oppenheimer" is a biographical film written and directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Cillian Murphy. It will be released in North America on July 21, 2023 and in mainland China on August 30.

The film is adapted from the book "American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedies of Oppenheimer" by Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin. It tells the story of how Robert Oppenheimer, the "Father of the Atomic Bomb" of the United States, led the development of the atomic bomb during World War II, and the story of the unfair hearing he encountered after the end of World War II.
