Anno Hideaki & Higuchi Shinji's new movie "Shin Ultraman" statue unveiled

Today (11.3), Khara announced on Twitter the statue of Ultraman from the science fiction film "Shin Ultraman", written by Hideaki Anno and directed by Shinji Higuchi.

"Shin Ultraman" is a film jointly produced by Tsuburaya, Toho, and Khara, and distributed by Toho. Hideaki Anno is the planner and screenwriter, and Shinji Higuchi is the chief director and stunt director. Starring Takumi Saito, Masami Nagasawa, and Hidetoshi Nishijima, the film will be released in Japan in the summer of 2021. The film is set in modern society, and aims to experience a world where "Ultraman that no one has ever seen before" exists.

It is reported that after completing "Neon Genesis Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) End", Hideaki Anno and Shinji Higuchi's teams officially merged. This is the second time they have collaborated after "Shin Godzilla".
