Netflix's "One Piece" American TV series screenwriter and producer Matt announced his withdrawal from the rare well-received comic adaptation series

Matt Owens, the original screenwriter and producer of the popular Netflix American TV series "One Piece", recently announced his withdrawal after the second season. The new screenwriter has not yet been determined, and the second season is scheduled to be broadcast this year.

"One Piece" is an adventure fantasy drama produced by Tomorrow Studios, Netflix, and Shueisha, written by Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, directed by Mark Jobst, Emma Sullivan, Tim Southam, and Joseph Kubota Varadaka, and starring Inaki Godoy, Emily Ladd, Jacob Romero Gibson, Mackenyu Nitta, and Tazz Skylar.

In terms of word of mouth, the American TV series "One Piece" once surpassed "Wednesday" and "Stranger Things", setting a record of ranking first in 84 countries where Netflix was launched.

Matt Owens expressed his gratitude to fans for their support over the past six years, and to the original author Eiichiro Oda, Shueisha, and Netflix . He said that he wanted to take a break after his exit, play the game Marvel Confrontation, and then return after recuperating. Please stay tuned.
