"Moon Rebels," directed by Zack Snyder, will be released on the streaming platform Netflix in two parts. The first part will be released this year, and the sequel will be released a few months later. The first part, Daughter of Fire, tells the story of a young woman named Kora (Sofia Boutella) who searches for allies to fight the evil "Mother World" that threatens her peaceful agricultural planet of Veldt. Director Zack Snyder revealed more about the sequel to "The Daughter of Fire" "The Scargiver" in the new 2024 preview issue of "Total Film" magazine released this week. He said: "In fact, the first movie is just a background story for the second one. The ending will have a 'crazy suspense' to pave the way for "The Scargiver." He said that if the first film allowed the audience to immerse themselves in his new science fiction world and empathize with the characters of the protagonist team, then in the second film all the foreshadowing will be rewarded with Veldt's battle. The director went on to explain: "They are very different movies in terms of tone. In the first part, we spent a lot of time in the village and had a real relationship with this place and the people here. So when we actually have to fight and die for them, we care about them." Total Film has also released some exclusive photos from the second film, showing General Titus, played by Djimon Hounsou, in battle. "Moon Rebels: Daughters of Fire" will be available on Netflix streaming platform on December 22, US time, and will be released in limited theaters in some regions on December 15. The second part will be released on April 19, 2024. |
