Godzilla vs. Kong 2 opens two weeks earlier than planned

On Tuesday local time, Warner announced the release date adjustments of several films. The monster movie "Godzilla vs. Kong 2" will be released two weeks earlier, and the North American release date will be changed from the original April 12 to March 29.

The move is to fill the vacated schedule after the sci-fi film "Mickey 17" was withdrawn. "Mickey 17" is a sci-fi film directed by Bong Joon-ho and starring Robert Pattinson. It was originally scheduled to be released on the new release date of "Godzilla vs. Kong 2" - March 29, but was temporarily withdrawn due to delays in post-production progress.

The story of "Mickey 17" is adapted from the novel "Mickey7" written by Edward Ashton. The novel tells the story of a man named Mickey7 who embarks on a colonization journey to the frozen land of Niflheim. He is a sacrificial "consumable" who is hired to do those high-risk missions. After his death, he will be reborn as a clone with most of his memories preserved. This time he is also considered dead, and then he returns to the mission base and finds that a new clone, Mickey8, has taken his place. Mickey7 decides to resist.
