Star Wars: New Jedi Order to be directed by a female director

Recently, Lucasfilm announced that Shamin Obaid-Chinoy, who was the director of the Marvel series "Marvel Girl", will direct "Star Wars: New Jedi Order", becoming the first woman to direct a "Star Wars" movie.

Earlier, Lucasfilm CEO Kathleen Kennedy revealed to IGN that Star Wars: New Jedi Order will focus on Rey, played by Daisy Ridley, and tell the story 15 years after Star Wars 9: The Rise of Skywalker. Rey has to solve the problems of who the Jedi are, what they are doing, and what the state of the galaxy is. She tries to rebuild the Jedi Order and fulfill her promise to Luke.

In addition to "New Jedi Order", Lucasfilm is also developing two other "Star Wars" movies, one is a force story directed by "Logan" director James Mangold, and the other is a movie directed by Dave Filoni, the story is related to two series such as "The Mandalorian" and "Ahsoka".
