Ridley Scott: The Alien series is still very strong and can tell the origin of this creature in the future

As the founder of the "Alien" series, it can be said that director Ridley Scott and the "Alien" series of movies have achieved each other, and Director Ridley Scott has always liked to plan for the future of this IP. For example, 10 years before the release of "Prometheus" in 2012, Director Ridley Scott began to consider the sequel "Alien: Covenant", but the box office performance of "Alien: Covenant" after its release was not good, and Disney recently acquired Fox. Everyone is more skeptical about whether there will be any follow-up movies to "Alien"? And even Director Ridley Scott himself basically said nothing. But recently, Ridley Scott talked about the future of the "Alien" IP.

In a conversation with Los Angeles Times film critic Justin Chang, Ridley Scott said that the "Alien" series is still very vibrant, and he imagined what to explore if a new "Alien" movie was made.

"I still feel like there are a lot of milestone questions to be explored in Alien," Ray said. "When I was shooting the first film, I was always thinking, 'Why would such a creature be created, and why would it travel around with these things that I think are used for war - that is, with these eggs? What is the purpose of the carrier, and what is the purpose of the eggs? This is where the questions are raised: who, why, and for what purpose. I think these are some ideas for future films.'"
