Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, is a central part of the new phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He made his debut in the season 1 finale of Loki and appeared as a mutant in season 2. Marvel fans now know that Majors is facing a lawsuit and it has had a serious impact on the actor's career. Fortunately, this does not affect the second season of "Loki". Executive producer Kevin Wright explained that the show was completed at the end of 2022 and still presents the content they wanted to produce. Wright introduced: "This is the first Marvel series that has never been reshot. The story on the screen is the story we want to tell. We have a clear idea of what we want to make, and we have found a suitable way to tell it, which is very consistent with what is shown on the screen." Wright also said that it would be a hasty move to do any post-production without determining how to handle Majors' scenes. Majors was arrested in March this year, and neither Marvel nor Disney has made a statement about his replacement plan. They have made similar substitutions before, such as Terrence Howard's War Machine in the first "Iron Man" was replaced by Don Cheadle in subsequent films. |
