Netflix announces $2.5 billion investment in South Korea's creative industry

Japanese animation, American blockbusters, Korean TV series? Netflix, the world's largest streaming entertainment giant, announced today that it will invest up to US$2.5 billion in the Korean creative industry, because it is optimistic about the strength of Korean film and television.

This huge investment will be realized over the next four years and is twice the total investment Netflix has made since entering the Korean market in 2016.
