Apple TV+ British spy drama "The Exile" confirmed to be renewed for season 5

The Apple TV+ British spy suspense drama "Slow Horses", starring the famous British actor Gary Oldman, has been renewed for Season 5 in advance.

The drama is adapted from the British novelist's work "Slough House" and tells the story of the protagonist Jackson Lamb, played by Oldman, a seasoned agent of the British Security Service MI5 and the leader of a team known as "The Exiles".

This team is full of agents who have made career-ending mistakes. Although they were originally assigned boring paperwork, after being regarded as "scapegoats" by headquarters, they were sent on various dangerous missions and repeatedly got into various dangerous situations.

Oldman was nominated for a Golden Globe and a British Academy of Film and Television Arts Award for his performance in the second season. In addition to him, other actors include Jack Lowden, Kristin Scott Thomas and others.

The synopsis for Season 5 reads: "When resident tech agent Roddy Ho gets a stunning new girlfriend, everyone becomes suspicious, and as a series of increasingly bizarre events unfold across town, it's up to the Outcasts to sort it out. After all, Jackson Lamb knows that in the world of spies, the 'London Rules' should always apply."

The show has aired 3 seasons so far, and Season 3 has already concluded. There is no release date for Season 5 yet, but Season 4 is expected to premiere in December 2024.
