Launching spin-off series for spin-off series seems to be a new trend. The famous streaming media Netflix recently announced that the second season of "Wednesday", a spin-off of "The Addams Family", will start shooting in Ireland in late April 2024. And this is not all about the "Adams Universe". Uncle Fester, who appeared in "Wednesday", also seemed to have contributed a lot to this series, which had the highest ratings in Netflix's premiere week. Therefore, Netflix is considering working with actor Fred Armisen (who plays Fester in "Wednesday") to launch a spin-off of "Wednesday" called "Uncle Fester". However, it is not yet certain whether the show will be officially finalized, but Netflix and Amazon, who own the copyright of "The Addams Family", seem eager to expand the future of the "Adams Universe". Netflix also revealed two "Peaky Blinders" spin-offs, one of which will focus on Boston in the mid-20th century, and is therefore set several decades after the series' timeline. The other tells the story of Polly, the most important female figure in the "Razor Gang", played by the late British actress Helen McCrory. |
