"Wulin Wai Zhuan" accuses Hengdian World Studios of copyright infringement: Tongfu Inn is restored one-to-one

The official Weibo account of "Wulin Wai Zhuan" recently released a statement on the malicious infringement of "Wulin Wai Zhuan" by Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television City.

It pointed out that Beijing Alliance Film Investment Co., Ltd. is the producer and copyright holder of the TV series "Wulin Waijia", and Zhejiang Hengdian Film and Television City's "Ming and Qing Folk Houses Expo City Qixia Town Film and Television Theme Street Scenic Area" infringed its copyright of "Wulin Waijia".

According to reports, the scenic spot opened in 2016 and was built based on the TV series "Wulin Waijia". Tongfu Inn, Li Dazui Food Store, Baima Academy, Tofu Shop, Blacksmith Shop, etc. are all presented in real scenes.

However, the "Seven Heroes Town Film and Television Theme Street Scenic Area" and related theme activities created by Hengdian Film and Television City have not actually obtained any form of authorization or permission from us. This deliberate and malicious infringement has seriously infringed our legitimate rights and interests as the copyright owner of the TV series "Wulin Waijia".

Now, according to the aforementioned legal provisions, we have hired lawyers to collect relevant evidence and sent a lawyer's letter to Hengdian World Studios and its main company:

We solemnly request the other party to immediately stop using the story scenes, character names, character relationships and other elements of the TV series "Wulin Waijia" and demolish all real-scene buildings related to the "Qixia Town Film and Television Theme Street".

Delete all related promotional content, apologize to us through public channels, and compensate us for the economic losses caused by the above-mentioned infringement.

As of now, Hengdian Film and Television City has not responded.
