Suits breaks streaming time record, second only to Stranger Things

The American TV series "Suits" has recently broken an important streaming record. Since the legal drama created by Aaron Korsh landed on the streaming platform eight weeks ago, the total viewing time on Netflix and Peacock platforms has reached 26.5 billion minutes, of which the viewing period from August 7 to 13 has exceeded 300 million minutes for the seventh consecutive week.

By comparison, Netflix original series Stranger Things still holds the record for the most minutes watched at eight weeks, but Suits is "the first series to reach 3 billion minutes watched over such a long period of time."

Suits tells the story of Mike Ross, a brilliant college dropout who is hired by one of New York's best lawyers, Harvey Specter, and gets caught up in an illegal deal that goes bad. The cast also includes Patrick J. Adams, Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman and Meghan Markle.

The first eight seasons of the series aired between 2011 and 2019. It was added to Netflix's content library in June this year and quickly became the number one rated hit of all shows.
