Marvel: Scarlet Witch can defeat Thanos in single combat in Avengers 4

Kevin Feige, president of Marvel Studios, believes that in Avengers 4, Scarlet Witch can defeat Thanos in a one-on-one fight. He said that Scarlet Witch is close to a higher level of ability.

In an interview with Comic Book, he said: "Wanda Maximoff's power is close to the higher echelon of power. I think she can defeat Thanos on her own if he doesn't have his army."

In the MCU, the Scarlet Witch is played by Elizabeth Olsen. She first appeared in Captain America 2: The Winter Soldier. Later, she and her brother Quicksilver appeared in Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. Her brother sacrificed himself to save Hawkeye and a child. Since then, the Scarlet Witch has fought side by side with the Avengers, appearing in Captain America 3: Civil War, Avengers 3 and Avengers 4.

At this year's SDCC, Kevin Feige discussed the future role arrangement of Scarlet Witch in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and TV series. According to Marvel, Scarlet Witch will first appear in the TV series "WandaVision", which will be launched on Disney's upcoming streaming service Disney+. Scarlet Witch will then appear in the movie "Doctor Strange 2: Into the Multiverse of Madness", which is scheduled to be released on May 7, 2021. Marvel also stated that Scarlet Witch's storyline in "Doctor Strange 2" will be related to the TV series "WandaVision".
