The Witcher Season 3 not getting good reviews, producers blame audience and Tiktok

The Witcher Season 3 doesn't seem to be doing well, with an audience rating of just 22%. Many people have been criticizing the show, citing issues with the costumes and awkward dialogue. But the biggest complaint is that the third season oversimplifies the plot of the book. Unexpectedly, executive producer Tomek Baginski blamed the audience and TikTok.

"For TV series, the younger the audience, the less important the logic of the plot is," Baginski said in a recent interview with Wyborcza magazine.

The reporter then asked what is meaningful to young people. Baginski replied: "It is pure emotion, a naked combination of emotions. TikTok and YouTube have accompanied these young people growing up. They keep watching one video after another... This makes them unable to adapt to the satisfaction brought by long-form content and the long and complex cause and effect chain."

Foreign media previously reported that the fourth season of "The Witcher", which was originally scheduled to start filming in September 2023 and end in May 2024, has been postponed and will not begin filming until 2024 at the earliest.
