Ant-Man + Wednesday team up for new indie film Death of a Unicorn

Paul Rudd and Jenna Ortega are teaming up for a new A24 film, Death of a Unicorn, which has received special permission to continue filming during the Writers Guild and Screen Actors Guild of America strike.

Little is known about the film, but we do know that the two will play a father and daughter who crush a unicorn on their way home. Filming recently began in Hungary, with Ressurection director Alex Scharfman writing the script and directing.

On Tuesday, July 18, it was announced that 39 productions were exempt from the strike rules because they were produced by independent studios. According to a spokesperson, A24 is not a member of the Union of Motion Picture and Television Producers and can therefore proceed with productions as normal.
