Ellie actor revealed: HBO's "The Last of Us" TV series may be released this year

According to Bella Ramsey, who plays Ellie in HBO's The Last of Us, the TV series will be released in 2022.

Recently, Bella Ramsey shared an IMDb post on his Instagram, which stated that The Last of Us TV series will be launched on HBO Max in 2022. The production of the show is expected to continue until June, and Kantemir Balagov, one of the directors of the show, also included The Last of Us (2022) in his Instagram profile. So the show is likely to be broadcast this year, but HBO has not officially announced it yet.

The series, based on the video game of the same name, stars Pedro Pascal as Joel, who must safely transport Ellie across a zombie-infested America. Gabriel Luna plays Joel's brother Tommy, while Mel Dandridge plays Marlene, Nico Parker plays Joel's daughter Sarah, Nick Offerman plays Bill, and Anna Torv plays Tess.

The series is expected to have a total of 10 episodes, with Chernobyl's Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog's Neil Druckmann serving as writers and executive producers.
