Jeff Rowe, co-director of the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot film, scheduled for release in August, said that the famous villain Shredder may not appear in this movie, but he will definitely appear in future sequels. The premise is that the new animated film can be successful and get a sequel. "We're going to be like The Dark Knight (the second in Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy)," Jeff Rowe told SFX Magazine in a new issue. "When you grow up and become confident as a teenager, it's much more interesting and dramatic to suddenly face an enemy that's three times more terrifying than anything you've ever faced before." In the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shredder is the nemesis of Splinter, the four little turtles' mouse mentor. In the new film, Splinter is voiced by Jackie Chan. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: War of the Mutants follows Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo as they return to the surface of New York City after years of isolation and team up with their new friend April O'Neill to try to defeat a mysterious army of mutants. The cast is very luxurious, including Seth Rogen, Maya Rudolph, Rose Byrne, John Cena and Paul Rudd. The film will be released in the United States on August 4 and in China in August, but the date has not yet been announced. |
