"Transformers 7" word-of-mouth release Rotten Tomatoes starts at 68%

The media review of Transformers: Rise of the Power Rangers, which will be released simultaneously in China and the United States this weekend, has been lifted, with Rotten Tomatoes starting at 68% (19 reviews) and MTC comprehensive score of 46 (12 reviews). Although the score is not high, it is second only to Bumblebee in the entire Transformers series.

Excerpts from media reviews

The Wrap 73 points

Where Michael Bay's films often feature tangled plots that require copious amounts of migraine medicine, the director manages to achieve something clear and thrilling in Rise of the Power Rangers, thanks to the presence of two human characters and a witty ending that hints at a larger universe.

I GN 70 points

The film proved that the Transformers franchise was heading in the right direction, with solid Autobot action and a solid voice cast behind these infamous robots in disguise.

SlashFilm 50 points

There are moments of inspiration, like the plot's shift to Peru, which suddenly feels like Raiders of the Lost Ark (annoyingly, the characters can't help but mention the movie), and an early horror sequence that seems influenced by the "velociraptor in the kitchen" scene from Jurassic Park. But such joys are too few and far between to make this adventure worth the price of admission.

Screen Daily 40 Minutes

The director of Creed II brings a little more fun and emotion to the series, but unfortunately the noisy action and self-righteous tone remain.

Guardian 20 minutes

The attempt to revive the Transformers under Hasbro was a careless fumble devoid of any effort or interest.
