"Super Mario Bros. Movie" has a global box office of over $1.248 billion and ranks third in animation film history

According to the latest update from the website Collider, "Super Mario Bros. The Movie" has grossed more than $1.248 billion worldwide, surpassing "Incredibles 2"'s $1.243 billion, becoming the third-highest-grossing animated film in the history of the world's box office, ahead of "Frozen" ($1.284 billion) and "Frozen 2" ($1.45 billion).

Additionally, The Super Mario Bros. Movie surpassed Pixar and Disney classics like Toy Story 3, The Lion King and Finding Nemo, and it has become Illumination's highest-grossing animated film of all time, ahead of Minions and Despicable Me 3.
