story

The story begins with a surprise attack by a mysterious flying saucer that appeared from space. The Saotome Laboratory is attacked, and the Getter Team goes to intercept it, but they engage the Sky Demon Grangen that emerged from the saucer, and explode along with the Bear. The Bear and its pilot, Tomoe Musashi, are lost in the battle, and the laboratory is also destroyed. Meanwhile, the Science Fortress Laboratory is aware of this incident, but is behind schedule in the development of Great Mazinger's new equipment, the Great Booster, and Ken Tetsuya is frustrated. The members of the Saotome Laboratory are heartbroken, but a new Getter Robo has been completed within the facility, and trainee Kuruma Benkei is appointed as its pilot.

Meanwhile, the combined beast Bong emerges from a mysterious flying saucer and destroys Haneda Airport. Jun Honoo takes Tetsuya's place and deploys in the Venus A, but is defeated in return. After Great Mazinger's main body is modified, Tetsuya deploys. Great defeats Bong with Thunder Break, but struggles against another enemy, the light wave beast Picudoron. Then Getter Robo G appears.
