Animate, an old animation peripheral factory, received death threats and a Korean female suspect living in Japan was arrested

Although the tragic incident at Kyoto Animation has had a huge impact, the island nation's animation industry will obviously not calm down. Today, December 10, the Itabashi Police Station of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department announced that it had arrested a 34-year-old Korean woman living in Japan on charges of threatening Animate with violence.

This unemployed Korean woman who lives in Minami-ku, Furuya City, sent death threats to Animate, a long-established animation peripheral manufacturer, several times between August 8 and 22 this year. She also mentioned Kyoto Animation, which just passed away, and used extremely violent language such as "Unlike Kyoto Animation, you all should die", "Be prepared to see God at any time!"

It is said that the woman had purchased peripherals from the Animate online store many times before. Preliminary investigation showed that the reason for her sending the death threat was due to "dissatisfaction with the services of the Animate online store."
