The film is adapted from a best-selling novel and tells the story of a CIA cryptographer whose wife was killed in a terrorist attack in London. The expert asked his superiors to hunt down the murderer, but due to conflicting internal priorities, he was unable to do so. So he coerced the agency to train him and take action on his own.

Rachel Brosnahan, Caitriona Balfe, Laurence Fishburne, and Jon Bernthal also starred in the film, directed by James Harveys (Penny Dreadful), produced by 20th Century Fox, and released in North America on April 11, 2025.
