George RR Martin finally started writing and revealed that he has written new chapters for works such as "The Winds of Winter"

Although the TV series "Game of Thrones", adapted from the fantasy novel "A Song of Ice and Fire", has been completed long ago, the original work is still at the fifth volume "A Dance with Dragons", and the sixth volume "The Winds of Winter" is still in creation.

Recently, the original author George RR Martin wrote on his personal blog "Not A Blog" that he has recently written new chapters for works such as "The Winds of Winter".

First of all, Mr. Martin said that he traveled to Europe in the summer and never brought a computer when traveling. The death of his close friend, writer Howard Waldrop, in the first half of the year made him sad even during the trip (he even contracted the new coronavirus after the trip).

Then he changed the subject and said that even work did not allow him to "find much comfort", but Martin revealed the specific content of his work, which was to write some new chapters for "The Winds of Winter" (confirmed) and "Fire and Blood" (the sequel to "Fire and Blood", describing the second part of Targaryen history)". And Martin also hoped that he could write more content, but most of those months were occupied by the work related to the spin-off series.

But only a few of this work, such as "The Hedge Knight" and "The Wind of Darkness", were enjoyable. The others even made Martin more stressed, and he couldn't sleep at night, and even had "unpleasant" dreams when he fell asleep.

Finally, Martin concluded in his blog that although he had a good time on the trip and had some experiences to share, he still felt a lot of pressure when he returned to work. I can only say that I hope Martin can successfully get through his current difficult period and write better works.
