The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will be the final season

Although Netflix has announced that it will renew The Umbrella Academy for Season 4, which will continue the story of the Hargreeves family, the next chapter will be the last in the series.

Netflix announced today (August 26) that its live-action adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá's The Umbrella Academy will end with its upcoming fourth season, with all of the show's core cast set to reprise their roles.

In a statement to Variety, series creator Steve Blackman said that The Umbrella Academy Season 4 will bring the Hargreeves' journey to a "fitting conclusion" after Season 3 left the siblings trapped in a new timeline without their powers. While Netflix's adaptation of The Umbrella Academy has surpassed the original comics, Blackman shared that he is aware of the future that Gerard Way's books created for the protagonists. At this time, a date has not been announced for the start of filming for The Umbrella Academy Season 4.
