Snowpiercer TV series renewed for third season, to premiere on January 25

The TV series Snowpiercer has been renewed for a third season, making it the only original TV series left on TNT. The second season of Snowpiercer will premiere on January 25, with Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs (Hamilton) continuing to star.

Snowpiercer's first season aired in May 2020 with 3.3 million viewers across TNT and TBS, ranking as the number one cable series of 2020. The series is TNT's most-watched series since Alien in 2018. To date, it has attracted 32 million viewers across TNT's cable and digital platforms, and the first season is now available to stream on HBO Max.

Snowpiercer is adapted from the movie and comic of the same name, and is produced by Bong Joon-ho, the director of the movie version. The series continues the setting of the movie and tells the story of a few people who survived on a train seven years after the temperature dropped sharply and the world turned into a frozen land. However, they were more oppressed here, and some people decided to rise up and change their fate.
