In an interview with Hollywood Reporter, Andy Serkis, the actor who played Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings", said that he would like to star in another "Lord of the Rings" movie. “I love those guys, they’re my second family,” he said. “I’ve spent years making movies with them. I love their sensibility and their perspective; it’s a different level of filmmaking. You’re totally immersed in it. So, yeah, if the opportunity arose, it would be really great.” Serkis voiced and motion-captured Gollum in The Lord of the Rings trilogy and The Hobbit. Amazon's "Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings" was "hugely successful" (although some fans hated the series, it made a lot of money), and Warner Bros. and New Line Cinema have earlier announced that they will adapt more "Lord of the Rings" movies based on Tolkien's works, and they also hope that Peter Jackson will return to direct. |
