I don't know about the remake. Yoshiki Tanaka's agency responded to the remake of "Legend of the Galactic Heroes"

Previously, we reported the official announcement of the TV series of the fictional historical novel "Legend of the Galactic Heroes" jointly created by iQiyi and Linghe. Today (May 11), Yoshiki Tanaka's agency representative Adachi Hiroaki tweeted that this was the first time he heard of the remake and no party had contacted them.

Adachi Hiroaki said: "This is the first time I've heard of this. We haven't received any information from anyone... It's true that we signed a live-action remake contract with a company a long time ago, but that company no longer exists. I heard that another company took over the live-action remake rights of that company (including many other works), but at least they should have told us about it. We only found out about the "inheritance" after various investigations. At least they should have sent us an email or called us."
