Kitano Takeshi's new film "First" released trailer

The first trailer for Kitano Takeshi's new film "First", which he wrote, directed and starred in, has been released. The film is adapted from Kitano's work of the same name.

Trailer:

The original work is based on the real Honnoji Incident, in which the famous warlord Oda Nobunaga was assassinated in a temple in Kyoto in 1582. Before the assassination, Shinzaemon captured the general Araki Murashige who was accused of disloyalty, and the plot revolves around Murashige's fate.

This film was conceived at the same time as "Sonata", one of the early masterpieces of director Takeshi Kitano, and has been brewing for 30 years. While describing the Honnoji incident, the film also describes the ambitions, betrayals, and fates of various characters including warlords, ninjas, comedians, and farmers, and fully displays the essence of Kitano's world, including sharp violence and laughter.
