The new Anaconda movie is officially announced to be a comedy

In August this year, THR reported that two big-name comedians Jack Black and Paul Rudd will star in the new "Anaconda" movie. Today, IGN reported that the two Hollywood actors officially announced the news and confirmed that they will co-star in the new "Anaconda" movie, which is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day on December 25, 2025.

In a video clip, Jack Black and Paul Rudd excitedly discussed the rebooted comedy, with Black confirming: "There's going to be a giant snake in it."

Sony Columbia Pictures describes the new Anaconda as a comedy, and Paul Rudd says it's a movie for you if you want to be scared, laugh out loud, and celebrate with your friends.

The 1997 classic horror film "Anaconda" starred Jennifer Lopez, Ice Cube, Jon Voight (Julie's dad), and Owen Wilson. It performed well at the box office, with a total global box office of $136 million. The sequel "Anaconda: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid" was released in 2004, and three TV sequels were launched afterwards.
