Netflix's live-action version of "One Piece" will start filming in Cape Town, South Africa in September

According to foreign media reports, the live-action version of "One Piece" created by Netflix will start filming in Cape Town, South Africa on September 1 local time, and will continue until February 8 next year.

In May, the show's producer Marty Adelstan revealed that filming is expected to start in Cape Town in September at the latest. The scripts for the first season, which consists of 10 episodes, have been written and casting will begin in June. He said, "The scale of the production will be very large, much larger than the TV version of Snowpiercer!"

The live-action series "One Piece" is jointly created by Netflix and Tomorrow Studio ("Prison Break", "Snowpiercer"), adapted from the original work by Eiichiro Oda, and tells the story of Luffy, a young man who aspires to become the "Pirate King" and embarks on an adventure.
