New "Alien" starts filming next week, "Don't Breathe" director takes charge

According to the latest announcement released by 20th Century Fox, the new Alien movie will begin shooting in Budapest (the capital of Hungary) next week.

It has been officially announced that Fede Alvarez, the director of "Evil Dead" and "Don't Breathe", will be responsible for directing the new film, and the screenplay will be written by Rodo Sayagues, the director of "Don't Breathe 2" with whom he often collaborates.

The official introduction to the new film says: "In the ninth film in this popular and enduring film series, a group of young people from a distant world find themselves facing off against the most terrifying creatures in the universe."

Isabela Merced, who previously played the protagonist Dora in "Dora the Explorer: And the Lost City of Gold", and Cailee Spaeny, the actress of "East Side Nightmares" and "Pacific Rim", have confirmed their participation in the new film.
